Just wondering if anyone has recently traded in a 172 against a WRX, popped into the Subaru dealer yesterday, he should be giving me a price tomorrow. I just want something to go by.

Cheers, I knew I was hanging around here for some reason!

Blue a UK WRX will not be much quicker than your car as stanard! Just a warning if straight line speed is your motive

Kenny,

This all subject to a test drive. You obviously haven't spied the review of the 5 door in Autocar, 5.5 0-60, 16.1 0-100, thats on a heavier car than the 4 door, looks the dogs danglies too IMHO!

Word of warning, IMO if the test drive scooby has any less than 4k miles on it your 172 will seem faster! I find scoobys to be very tight when new!

SB,

The scoob hasn't even been taxed/PDI'd yet, so i doubt it'll have more than 10 miles on it!

Workshy,

What edition of the glasses guide is that. My car is a MY02 March, 10500 miles.

I drove a non-pdi'd bugeye and the saxo would have taken it in a straight line. No joke!

Yes really! Engine check was still on so might have been running lower boost but it didn't pull well at all! It felt tighter than a tight thing that has been tightened

Ask to try a second hand car with some miles on it

Either that or I'll ask to take the STi 8 out, a tight STi8 must be as quick as a loose WRX!
