Lol.
I am sorry to see the old barge go but thats life.
The downside is I will now be driving about day to day in a clapped out Maestro 1.3 which will deliberately be placed on full view to annoy the neighbours and there company 318i. Still the BM will be in good company with the Maestro. I may add some tasteful religion related stickers for some extra effect as they are well into the godsquad.
P.S I look forward to engaging in loads more moronic banter with you all.

I wanted an EVO initially and hadnt really contemplated selling the cossie so ordered the Focus as it is relatively cheap to run and insure and is practicle to use everyday compared to the Evo . I got offered a good price for the cossie so weighed up my options and sold it and then purchased the Evo I had seen a few days earlier pending the Inspection thats being carried out later this week.
The Evo which is totally standard is very slow compared to the cossie but it does handle miles better and I am sure I can rectify the speed thing with a few quid.

My mate had one a few years back and rated it. He's got a Mak now which is just amazing. Just remember the AYC is not infallable! my mate thought this and the frantic application of opposite lock was a surprise to him.
astraboy.
P.S. will we see picatures when she arrives?

I learned to drive in a maestro 1.3LX can we have a picture of that as well
. Brings back happy memories 17 years old, sunroof open (yes it had one on the LX model), windows down, some suitable heavy rock music blasting out and a 1.3 maestro
.

Thankyou for all the nice comments (lol makes a change)
The Evo is being inspected tomorrow so hopefully will all be ok. Certainly looks and seems absolutely mint but you never know. Its Silver and has done 20k miles on a 99 V Plate.

Great News, hope you enjoy every bit of it. As regarding the tyres, these are common consumables for a car like this. If drivetrain is ok, tyres are nothing serious.

co55ie...
Glad to hear you've got some real class wheels at last....
Greatly underestimated cars those 1.3 Maestros!!! If you really want to get up your snobby 318i neighbours' noses, put a nice turbo T16 unit in that old Maestro and leave them for dead .....![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

maestro is well cool it has the optional swimming pool in the front footwell fitted and supercool brown tweed style seats with matching exterior rust patches. You wont believe the amount of heads the car turns.
I have spent a bloody fortune this week on disklocks trackers and alarms to stop it getting nicked. Even gone to the lengths of sorting out a garage door security thing. Will be parking the evo right in front of the garage door to stop any thieving scum getting at the maestro.
