Im not a fan of the new CTR and don't own one, but saying it lacks torque is tosh, Corrado may have had a good FWD chassis years ago, but nowadays it doesnt even come close. Nice car, but not for me.
I wouldnt rate a cars ability on 1 situation against 1 Ferrari. I passed a F355 at the Ring, then got past by a beaten up old Beemer, read into it what you will.

The 355 was on the back of a transport truck at the time no doubt.
Slowest 355 specs are:
Top speed: 183.0 mph
¼ mile 13.3 seconds
0 - 60 mph 4.9 seconds
0 - 100 mph 11.3 seconds
What mods do you have on that corrado exactly?

Volkswagen Corrado.....hehehe they were a good car in the last decade. The styling is very ermmm.....well very past it! I might at a push, drive one around in the dark wearing a disguise.
I thought they'd all be in a crusher by now, I mean who wants to drive around in a car that old ?
oh it keeps up with a Ferrari 355, LOL in the mid-range too
Yeah and I know which one I'd rather own and be seen in!

i doubt the corrado could manage 16 secs to 100.
http://www.car-videos.com/performanc...p?id1=22&id2=0 shows 1995 355 as being 10.7 0-100.
http://www.car-videos.com/performanc...?id1=234&id2=0 shows 2003 VR6 as being nearly 19 seconds (and thats the quicker of the 2 VR6 models listed here)
I really don't think your back box is gonna make that up.
He probably didn't even realise you were 'racing' him!

Oh, I forgot to mention I've driven a 355 hard on road and track over a good few days.
If a Corrado does keep up then I'm off to buy one, saving myself upwards of 40k

the F355 I was following sounded awesome, he could see I was trying to keep up and the nailed it, wow that exhaust note, it's what prompted me to get an HKS hyper on my Honda, makes it sound like a junior 355
anyone who thinks a Corrado will worry a 355 needs their heads read
