STI7 UK + ECUTEK - What car Next?????
#1
I'm thinking of changing my STI7 UK + ECUTEK and full decatt giving 340BHP.
What do I go for next??
Looking at buying either new or 2nd hand around 40-45000.
Want speed still and preferably tiptronic or auto box.
Cheers,
DAve.

Previously had a Carrera 2 996 (manual), and now have an M3 Coupe SMG. Current car is head and shoulders above the 996, which was a big disappointment (from thrill of driving and build quality perspectives). Note - SMG is superb, but requires time and effort to hone your skills and get the best out of it. A test drive, even an extended one, may not afford sufficient time.
Best of luck.

I drove the 2001 model range (excluding turbo) at Thruxton and I felt the Carrera 2 manual was the best of a less than impressive bunch. I'd have a 993 Turbo 4 if it was my £45k. I have a mate selling a metallic black one, I'm just £30k short of funds

My boss test drove a Maserati 3200GT today and said it was awesome, and is probably going to buy it.
On the test drive the garage offered him £50 for every Maserati they saw driving, if he gave £10 for every porsche. He declined, but they made their point about exclusivity.
Cost was around £45k for a 3000 miler.

< You had 45k to spend and bought a Vauxhall? >
Davyboy
Take your blinkers off mate I got £45k performance for £25k
< but it's a Vauxhall>
Who cares
The Impreza has a sh1te reputation anyway!, the most I will get is "it's a Vauxhall". Never been a badge snob, and looking forward to the look of shock on some Impreza drivers' faces on a track day when the poxy Vauxhall strides away into the distance

after the test drive i wont be bothering, too awkward getting in and out, good low down go unlike my scoob, not as good higher up the rev range where the scoob is, very good on medium speed twisty, perfectley flat tarmac, useless, jumping all over the place at 80-100 on less than perfect lanes, and it sounds like a turbo diesel, looks good though
