And on a side note the film was superb!

I'm a huge comic book geek but even the non fan boys enjoyed it, go and see it NOW!

Forgot to add, I wish that Mazda would release a limited X edition based upon the movie car with the modified grill and spoiler, fan boy's dream!

My local Mazda garage says August (hopefully )

 

My mate Craig has just put his name down for one.
Its black with black leather and will be arriving 1st August.
Its the 240bhp 6 speed model, comes with practically everything as standard. Only options are leather, sunroof (has climate control anyway) and sat nav. Comes with 18's etc.

 

Nice cars, not sure about those rear doors though.

Lack of torque could be a problem with everyday driving (240 has less torque than the lesser model!) but hey, so you have to thrash it!

I've been booked in for a test drive end of June, but also hoping for the X-Men version to come out.

 

It sounds really mean in the movie, assuming of course it's not added in the cutting room.

 

350Z is much better

 

Agreed. And looks better by far

 

I thought the Z was going to be around £26k thou? so it puts it in a different market altogether than the RX8.
The RX8 also has 4 seats, 4 doors, and is setup to be less of an all out sports car than the Z.

I recon the new RX7 will be more of a comparison to the 350Z, as the RX8 wasnt brought out as a Z rival.

For what it is, the RX8 looks fantastic, and at around £21k (?) (how much are they?) it competes against everything you could expect it to.

 

I liked it-aprt from the rear spoiler which looked like a chopped down Evo one.
Wolverine should have done Mystique though.

 

Good film, enjoyed it more than the first one. Thought the RX8 looked and sounded good.

However, this one will be mine.....

Christian R it has a mid level rear spoiler and a modified grille with some silver parts on it. The colour of the car is blue. And it looks extra -

As regarding the Zed, as mentioned above, it's a different kind of car compared to the RX8.

Rear spolier is awful IMHO...

 

It doesn't look a bad car at all, though I agree that the rear spoiler does need some revision.

True - The 350Z is 2 seater, however the Infiniti G35 Coupe is based on the same platform as the 350Z but with 4 seats (still 2 doors though).



Not too sure on the looks - looks a bit like the new Lexus Coupe

Specs are very similar to the 350Z:
Engine type 3.5 liter V6
Drive type Rear-wheel drive
Horsepower 280 @ 6,200 RPM
Torque 270 lb-ft @ 4,800 RPM

Also comes as a 5-speed auto - as well as the same 6 speed option as the 350Z.

Both the Infiniti G35 4 door and 2 door coupe won the the "Motor Trend"(US publication) Car of the Year 2003, so they must be doing something right - but I doubt we will see it on these shores as Nissan UK would'nt see a market for this kind of model in the UK.
