Thumbs up NOBLED UP TO THE MAX!!!!!!!!

Just done the deed and ordered a Noble M12GTO 3R in Titanium!! Track day booked for March 27th at Bedford can't wait. I thought my car was fast (450BHP Skyline) but after driving one of these things it felt positively cumbersome.
Does anyone on here have any idea of depreciation figures for these cars as this is the only thing I am unsure about and would appreciate some info.

I would very much doubt that you'll find anyone who could even give you a clue as to depreciation due to the rarity.

Let me know how you get on. I have been considering doing the same, but with three children it would be a very substantial investment for what would be no more than an excellent toy, and not sure it would go down too well

Steve I can't think of a better car to buy this side 100K, I love them, when I test drove one, I was so tempted until I got the finace details Too much of a stretch for me. How much are you selling the R34 for?

nice choice

Id pick that over a "normal" production sports car any day, bit of class, and alot of originality

Surely it has no class? No heritage, no motorsport history, no brand etc.

I don't doubt it's a fantastic car, but at this price you are looking at used GT3 money.

It is really a £55k car?

huh? If the car is good, then it's good. Any 'heritage' etc. is irrelevant. Anyway, it's gotta start somewhere.

911 (good that it is) is a cliched choice (the 'brand' is marketed at rich, brand snobbish people - I'm not saying all people who own porkers are like this, far from it, but that's the 'image' to a lot of people. I've rarely seen 'new' prokers on the track yet I've seen Nobles and plenty of other 'non heritage' cars) whereas the Noble will earn you far more respect. Anyway the Porsche GT3 is far more than £50k isn't it?

If you want one of the best cars going and don't give a hoot for badges then the Noble fits the bill.

Have a look through the classifieds over at www.pistonheads.com, and also go to their forums..quite a few Noble owners there (along with the Noble press officer and a few other factory guys)
Depreciation isn't horrible, but they do seem very hard to sell privately..so you will take a hit.
Fast cars, expect you'll like it

Yes it is very very good, but you are right in some respects, don't expect Porker build quality, espeacily the earlier models but the Noble I drove was very well put together, much better than my Elise but thats nothing to go by. The switchgear and stuff is pretty OK, but the drive, steering, performance is outstanding, I would say my favourite car Ive ever driven/been in. WWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSHHHHHH

I just have to question a car that costs £55k for a dedicated track car!! It's not a car you can use every day.....for a start it won't go over many speed humps!

They are hardly negative posts, more a balanced opinion....

Ian Noble carries his fair share of heritage with him.

The car is truly stunning IMHO. Both in looks and (oh my god) performance.

I know of a noble that is used every day to get to work and back in.

There is no question, I am incredibly tempted.

All the best

Simon

Steve, depreciation is terrible on these, i'll give you £5 in a weeks time. (it's the only way i am getting one at this rate )

I havnt seen one of these driven quickly yet, you sure you are up to it?

As for GT3's not being seen on track, go to the Nurburgring, they are being used in big numbers there, awesome cars.

They are a nice car. I was tempted to buy a Noble, flicking through Top Marques at the time they did seem to lose an awful lot of money in depreciation. Theres no way Id buy a new one, but I suppose new Porsches lose a lot of money as well from new.

At the end of the day my head would win and Id buy a 964 turbo. These cars seem to be depreciation proof as they are selling for MORE now (from what I have seen) than when i was looking 2 years ago.

Hasn't the Noble got a sooped up Mondeo engine?
