Default How about a BMW 330d SE Saloon ?

Anyone owned or own one of these cars ? How do you rate it ? Is it realistic to get 42 mpg combined ?

I would do a search but I cannot seem to access this feature (admins, is it canned ?)

What are the running costs like ?

Cheers!

Go for the 'Sport' not the 'SE', BMW 'Sport' models drive much better.

Thumbs up

Blinding car!

Agree with Bobby though - you do need the Sport variant if only for the front seats. I got a 330D Sport after my MY00 and wasn't looking forward to it - I needn't have worried. It's a totally different driving experience and they are fantastic cars.

Go to www.bmwland.co.uk and ask all the questions you need to under the 3 Series forum. Very friendly guys - not as active as SN though.

Cheers

I've got a 2003MY 330D Sport manual and I get around 43mpg from it. Most of my driving is on dual carriage ways with some town, but 500-600 miles from a tank of diesel is not bad...

The 2003MY cars have the revised 204BHP 300LBft engine and also a 6 speed manual box.

....another great car although a little more 'rounded' than its sibling.

Errr, di someone mention my name!? LOL They're great cars. I'm onto my 3rd one! I think that they're pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. Until BMW brings out a 335d, I'll stick with mine. It's fantastic. Have just done 100 motorway miles this morning averaging over 80 mph, and I've got 467 miles left according to the computer. The tank is 63litres. You can work out the mpg for yourself!
