Is Nearby Edinburgh ?
My brother went to test drive one near or in Edinburgh, it was silver, looked the dog's right enough, but 270(ish) BHP in a shortwheelbase 4X4 which even with the standard diesel engine is a handfull in the wet, sounds like a recipe for inadvertently visiting ditches on a fairly frequent basis.
Still different strokes and all that.

My dad had a modded one for a while.
Looks awesome. Exceptionally wide. It literally fills the whole lane on an average road.
Quite quick for such a big beast but mpg was bad when the performance was used especially on the motorway, probably because it has the aerodynamics of Wales.
Cool car though. Looks mean with 22" wheels too

Used to drive a mate's new example a few years back.
Teriffic fun, and high grin factor, but a bit of a one trick pony: you did soon tire of it once the novelty wore off. MPG was horrendous, and having had it broken into he had to literally wait months for bits to arrive.
If you must buy one, you may as well pimp and it up with big wheels and gangsta rap. You may as well take the p1ss big style, bog standard it aint exactly subtle.
Handful in the wet as well: it once caught me out on a duel carriageway by lighting up the rear wheels on kickdown at around 50mph. Short wheelbase and vague steering meant it took some sorting...

Cheers Guys, / Tim, most my questions have been answered went out for test drive last night, i see what you mean feels so wide, currently driving a clio cup and the difference is unbeliveble, just sick of the clio really and want a bit more of a head turner, it's between this Pajero and an Evo 6 but the Evo intrested me cause there rare as rocking horse ****, the parts issue may be a bit of a problem, at the moment though i am swaying towards the Evo 6, Tim i must say your dads looks amazing especially getting used like it should, quality shots mate, thanks everyone for the replies

Pajero Owners Club
Good luck with you decision.....if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to mail me. If you decide to buy the Pajero Evo, I would (and so would my dad) be interested in keeping in touch......I'm not sure if this would persuade you but the Pajero Owners Club go out on organized 4x4 events as well....it's rude not to, if you have a 4WD !!!
Have you tried this site: Pajero Owners Club? There is a section on there titled Evo Forums.....see how you get on.
