smart car "pulse"
does anyone know anything about these? looking to get one for my fiance'
Ive just been and looked at a brabus tuned pulse, 599cc twin turbo, its got a bit of damage but it goes like ****! " no she dosnt know its a twin turbo"
anyone hints tips what to look for etc?

* Air con
* PAS
* Paddles
* A Mk 7 which has the 698cc engine
It's fun to drive

£1500 for the 'performance pack', basically an engine chip and sports exhaust, which lifts the output of the 599cc 'three' from 61bhp to 70bhp.
Their top speed is limited to 85mph and they take about 16 seconds to go from 0-60.
Great fun for occassional journeys one would assume, as a full-time vehicle however I'd guess cocaine would be a help.

Get a Passion, comes with (expensive but vital with a glass roofed car) air-con and other bits that the Pulse doesn't.
Both engines are identical except the Passion has it's boost limited slightly, so gives 55bhp against the 61bhp of the Pulse.
But £300 gets you a Digi-tec remap upto 75bhp (don't pay 1500 for a Brabus rip-off!!) on either model.
If you get a 700cc car then power goes up over 80.

Jamo, I ran a mk6 Pulse for a year along side my MY99 scoob turbo. The Pulse was so much per £ that I ended up selling the scoob!
I got a Digitec remap installed and that doubled the fun...I caught a LOT of cars out at the lights heheh
Great fun in a great package.

Had a reply from the seller, the twin turbo conversion was done by Brabus at the factory and produces 85 BHP. Think a touch of bull going on !!
