Nissan 350Z - just driven and I like !!!
I've just spent 40 minutes out driving a 350Z.
What a great car it is too - and unfortunately my test drive was in Milton Keynes and with the authorised dealer driver in the passenger seat (all those roundabouts and no chance to play).
Does anyone have more to add about these cars ?
I also recently drove a friends RX-8, between the two I think the Nissan does it for me...nice torquey 3.5l engine - far nicer steering feel and what also seems like a very exploitable chassis. Don't get me wrong - the RX-8 is a great car - but I just think the Z car has the raw edge.
The interior is also very nice, driving position good and very positive controls. The gearbox feels very similar to that of the R34 GTR - wonder if its similar ?
Wonder if they'll let me take an extended test drive at somewhere like brunters
Ian.

I like the look of the RX-8, but not pleased at the power output or the lack of turbo's. I haven't driven either, but the z does sound more appealing, with more room to play with, having a big engine....

I test drove a 350Z about 5 wks ago and was massively dissappointed with it.
Didnt think it felt anywhere near as quick as the 330Ci Clubsport that I also drove at the same time, althought the official test figures are faster.
Felt that the interior was identical to the Misti FTO I had 3 yrs ago, which was fine for a £10K car but not a £30K car!
Went to the dealer with the strong belief that I would place an order as I love the Z looks. However I left a very dissappointed bunny..............
I expected to feel special in it, however I felt positively average.........
