Oops - sorry for the late reply - forgot I posted this question - was not expecting any response
I am on BlatChat now and than
I go by BTK on there too.
I have an SLR.
Just wondered who owns a scoob and a 7.
I think they make a good combo myself having just got my first scoob last week. (late 03 WRX)
DaveMcC - thanks for the link to this forum from BC - I now get zero work done.

To be fair it was Autocar that called it the R600 - with 250bhp it would have to weigh 60 kilos less than the R500 to make the magic 600 bhp/tonnne number and for anyone who has looked around the R500, there is no easy way of loosing that amount. There is nothing left to take off of it so its down to a wholesale change in materials used and there is an awful lot of aluminium and kevlar there already....

I don't but wish I did, it's been my dream car for almost 20 years. Put a deposit down last year, had to cancel for various reasons, and now I've bought a house I don't see I'm going to get one for some years yet (son is entering very expensive years at school).
I'd wait for a lottery win, but I never buy tickets...

After picking myself up off the floor from laughing, I think I'm safe to say that I have more chance of winning the lottery without buying tickets...
Hey, I should be fair. I've managed to instill an interest in cars in him, and I think he would IF he got the money. It's just the size of that "if" means I'm not holding my breath

My weekend toy is a Caterham R300, built by my own fair hands (the only way to do it ). Its a pain in the **** for most of the time on the road (unless you are a masochist who really enjoys scaring people.....!) but it is just simply awesome on track. It all seems worth it the first time you get a Ferrari or Porsche to move over!
The only downside is that I had to sell the Scooby to fund it- I still get withdrawal symptoms everytime I hear a nice flat-4 burble!
