Effectively has 100hp if he tries to put that sort of power through the front wheels
I should know I have half that and it's a struggle.
I thought it looked like a Saab that should have been scrapped off long ago ?

naaah the new gen 900's need them
9000's do not
..has a strut brace and koni adjustables tho..less than £500 all in (including all the poly bushes )
not a dear car to modify...until you get to 300+ hp
engine is bulletproof..
mine has done over 200,000 miles...
engine has just been rebuilt ...all it needed was new piston rings !!

....! LOL!!!!
Even touring cars, track honed weapons on super smooth tracks with slicks, have problems putting down 300hp with front wheel drive, imagine an average sedan on the roads ... LOL ... might as well have 190hp or so because the remaining 250hp go to waste and in fact hamper progres...

On my Scooby at Crail (with slightly uneven surface) it wasn't getting full traction in the dry on good road tyres until 50-60mph (ie 3rd gear) with this sort of power and torque through AWD with a front Suretrac diff, with fairly sorted suspension.

the m3 did not think so tonight.when I completely destroyed him...
In all fairness it is a bit of a beast and you cannot use full boost till third gear..
you lose traction in the dry at 1 bar boost in second (it goes to 1.65 bar)...
however in third it flies.....
And yes it has a limited slip diff (quaife) otherwise .....
and it has the widest tyres that will fit (235's)

I surely hope so (but doubt) ... but even with LSD we are talking about 440hp through the fronts! That's 140 more than a touring car, on a flexy-chassis generic sedan with relatively normal (certainly far from a touring car) suspension, street tires, etc, that drives on normal imperfect roads...

sorry I have to disagree
the car comes standard with 225 hp
and the chassis while not super stiff does not too badly
It has been engineered to take this
the engine is stupidly easy to tune with 310 hp available by fitting
a downpipe /air filter and tweaking the ecu..for about £600 !!!
want more ?
you need to mod the fuel supply and the std turbo is running out of puff (td 04 ) and you have to go to a the 18 or 19 variant which is good for 350/360 hp
and we still have not touched the oily bits !!
My stage 6 quoted at 440 hp the only oily bit you have to change is the cams ..the rest is OK !!
The tuners who supplied the kit have development cars at 550 hp still on standard internals (although I think they might have ported the heads !)
just watch these cars ......one might give you a fright !!
I take your point about brakes tho and mr godspeed helps out on mine ..dam good value too
and the chassis has been fully polyed and it has koni's all round..
