Bruntingthorpe this weekend the French Car Show ..... One fella turned up in a turbo 2000 to show us how it should be done.

Its a monster vid so broadband only and the scoob is at the end, but i think its worth the download. ...plenty of overtaking and fun fun fun

Looked like fun, few hairy moments though, that green 309, pretty close to the blue 106 and the scooby, did'nt look like he was going too quick tbh?!..

What the hell was the black 106/saxo about with the 2 x big exhausts!

Cant wait to get down brunters again

Cheers

Cheers for the comments it was a good day.

The black Saxo had a bit of a wide boy kit type thing on it and i thought it was gonna be massively quick as there were loads of supercharged cars there .... I lapped him in five laps

Its funny coz I didnt get as close as it looked on the camera to any of the cars. I think the camera made it look worse than it was, although I will admit to getting close to the scoob, but that was through over braking from that saxo thing in front.

The trouble is I dont have a lot of power and have to maintain speed through the bends and im not too bad at that

Nah - you're both wrong - it wasn't wet/twisty enough for him

No, you're all wrong. It was a Sport.

Remember a friend at Bedford in his Mi engined sleeper literally stuck to the 4ss of an M5 on the straights, then went past - all the scoobs had fallen back. Was wet as well

Wasn't really 205 v's Scoob at all, and I was looking forward to seeing that lol... still quite interesting to watch though.

rb5 ......''if you aint fast your last'' ....

I was always well within my limits on the track .... came out of the exit to come home, over a blind crest at about 50mph and the traffic was stopped dead in front....braked hard and slid down the road and was within inches of sliding into the back of a volvo. There has to be some irony in there somewhere

Quality video...

About a minute in there are a pair of 306 Rallye's (one red, one black) that pull away from you, they are friends of mine!

They were pretty quick I have to say. GTi-6 engines and lighter than the GTi by a good few KG's. A very underestimated car IMHO
I could hang on to them in the bends but come the straight and they were gone
