Cos He looked quite surprised! Could've been a 6 cyl & have heard that the press cars are always tweaked, even so I expected more.
Me: 330BHP with 1440KG + my 90KG (Mmmmm
)
Him: ???BHP with ???KG + him/passenger (Say 160KG).
Only other experience of a TVR was one at the Elvington RWYB which performed miserably. All hype then?

I had a 4.2 V8 for 3 years - 360bhp in a car of just over a tonne was plenty quick enough - acceleration felt very different to the Scoob though. Not driven a straight 6. In the wet leave the TVR at home - Scoob will have it every time!

What was it clarkson said in top gear when he drive the 4.2 ........''I am driving the fastest accelerating car I have ever driven'' ...... so god knows what he would have said in the 4.5.

think auto car figured the 4.5 one with the red rose conversion (higher octane fuel needed???) at 9.2 to 100 and 18 to 150 although i may be a bit off, still crazy performance

Actually it's not as easy as you think to light up the tyres in 2nd. The power curve is nothing like the Rover V8s, because it comes "on cam" at about 4.5k rpm.
OTOH I have heard that the cost of the next service is directly related to the RPM you change up at

Lets face it we arent talking about a porsche or ferrari here though are we? We are talking about a BRITISH made production car which can be bought for around 20K the last time I looked and will crack 190MPH .... That is almost obscene.
Oh and that is of course without talking about the sound they make, if it dont get the hairs on the back of your neck standing up nothing will ......
Build quality, who cares ...... I had mine TVR for seven years as a second car and it let me down by over heating ONCE ......
I would have a T350C tomorrow if it viable ... mmmmmmmmm

Didn't one of Clarkson's videos feature a straightline race over about a mile with a Cerbera, where it pi$$ed on a P911 Turbo, a Lotus Esprit, some sort of Aston and a few others?

BTW the "him" part in the original post should be:
350 bhp for a Speed 6
360 bhp for a 4.2 V8
420 bhp for a 4.5 V8 (although the 4.5s usually make nowhere near this figure)
Weight: around 1100-1150kg

You could ask over on Pistonheads, but whatever you do - DON'T ASK IF A CERBERA IS RELIABLE OR EXPENSIVE TO MAINTAIN ! Makes 'em grumpy ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
To give you some idea why, it gets asked as often as the following scoobynet posts.
1) Hey everyone, boycott BP\Esso, this WILL reduce fuel costs
2) What should I get, WRX or STi or Type'R', JDM or DBM etc
3) What's a MAF sensor ?
4) Is an Impreza a chav's car ?
5) BP Ultimate or Optimax.
etc etc

Assuming you are a completely ace driver and can actually get the power down, they light the wheels up in 2nd easily!
Upto 90-100 a fast scooby would probably keep up but over a ton it just pulls and pulls and pulls, 150mph comes up in about 17 secs in the 4.5 and 20 odd in the 4.2.
The handle pretty crudely IMO, and over fast bumpy b roads does not inspire confidence at all.
