Chav Fest Rumour?
I heard a Supra crashed in to the wall while doing the strip?
Seriously........is this true?
Clean sticky tarmac & completely clear view....and you hit a wall

Done something similar myself.
Over 10 years ago 320bhp 2.9 Twin Turbo Sierra. Straight road, damp dual carraigeway , furtunately it was empty. Floored it, feathered the throttle through the wheel spin in 1st, flat out in 2nd, slight wheelspin had stepped the back out a little and I had just corrected it a little with the steering. At about 65mph dipped to clutch to change to third but the car was still slightly sideways with a little opposite lock. It snapped back and I didnt catch it, too busy changing gear and only one hand on the steering wheel. Went sailing down the clear road sideways.

piece of RWD cack!!
As a strip racer RWD is preferential anyway - far less power sap from the transmission.
Take a look at a standard Twin Turbo Supra's 1/4 mile time and compare it to a Standard Classic WRX (or Sti for that).

Its true what some guys are saying, RWD are very capable machines, in the right hands AND the right situations. On the road, a powerful RWD car......NO THANKs, i have too much to live for.
And before you start grilling me, yes i have driven powerful RWD cars and 4x4 cars on the road. (Been a passenger in Supra TT around Elevington to, cheers Mark ) On the track its fine, on the road it all gets past the point of a bit of "fun."
We live(most of us) in mostly wet roaded country, 4x4 all the time, AND use ours cars (again most of us) on the road not the track, so safety first boys and girls
Just to add, i never doubted the drivers capabilites, and do feel sorry for just in case your reading!

Must remember to drop a memo to Porsche, AMG Merc, BMW and Ferrari telling them how dangerous their cars are

As long as you respect a RWD car it will not bite you, but drive like a **** and you wont last long.

CriagH, while your dropping your "memo" tell Amg, Ferrari etc to stop using all of there electric aids to keep there machines going in a straight line, and without them would they would become alot more dangerous. Tut tut, i thought you would know better, due to your sarcastic know it all answer. (no offensive, take it on the chin)
Besides, the cars you mentioned are driven by ponces' and would never reach there limit
Agree with you there Dream Weaver if you respect a RWD its fine, they just require alot more respect, and i never drive like a **** Unfortuantely i crashed my s13 while simply driving in a relaxed mannor, however if i was in a more alert mode i would have (i think) got it all together never mind we live we learn

Mynickers,read the earlier posts.
Do you want me to get your coat for you as you leave, or will you get it yourself on the way out? only kidding. On the track RWD is fine, when it all goes t!ts up, which it often does even by the best drivers, danger is minimised due to gravel traps, lack of trees to hit etc.
Besides, F1 rules do not allow 4X4, and how would you get the drive to the front wheels, without moving the driver to one side, or raising the driver both which will upset the balance.
