You decide :)
I am now in the process of completing the mods to my little baby
Last part to do is the wheels......Due to the PCD and offset I can only source Volks racing wheels in Japan which are a tad pricey so I'm having the existing alloys refurbed. The decision is either chrome as they are now or a colour. I am inclined to go for antherite (however its spelt)
Any views welcome.
Thanks
David

Ha! Good for you buddy! Looks an absolute hoot. Bet you have loads of laughs in that.
Have to think about the colour though, very tricky.
Good Luck and keep us updated.

Looks like a Daihatsu Cuore Avanzato to me. 195hp/ton, **** me that must be scarey in something that small. Power to weight on my chipped 270hp LCR is about that so must be well quick.

It is indeed a Daihatsu Mira Avanzato TRXX R4. The Jap version was a Mira the UK version was the Cuore. There are only a few cosmetic differences between the two.
The car modification list includes :
Palsports Suspension
Palsports organic clutch
Palsports Full exhaust including de cat
Palsports ECU running 1.3bar
HKS filter
HKS SSQV
IHI RHF3 turbo
uprated intercooler
210cc injectors (165cc is the standard )
This lot produces 130 bhp at 9,000 revs out of the tiny 659cc. There are a whole host of upgrades available to push power up to and beyond 200bhp if you have the 750cc kit but the driveshafts and box struggle over 150bhp without modifications.
I really want to change the chrome colour of the wheels and thought about black but will certainly look into a few shades darker than antherite.
Do you know of any cars that have a similar colour as standard to give me an idea ?
Thanks
David

I'll dig out some piccies of my STi it has dark anthracite almost charcoal grey wheels and looks really good, esp with the carbon fibre side repeaters. I have the photos on my home pc not my work pc....
If Andy Hamilton is lurking around he might even remember the specific colour as he specified it when teh car was new

I'd keep the wheels standard mate.
Its a street sleeper now, so why advertise the fact that its quick? I'd prefer to keep it standard and let blowing away the mercs and the boy racer crew be my entertainment.
Maybe, just maybe diamond cut the faces, but deffo keep the same wheels.
astraboy.
