Clio Gone
Security at chateux de Malings was breached last night, and the keys to the Clio cup were stolen along with our wallets and purses, credits cards etc. Just in time for our holiday to Germany and France on Friday.
The little blighters will not drag me down though, as they threw my wallet in the garden with my Jahreskarte (Nurburgring unlimited lap ticket) still in it!
And they chose not to take the Porsche....
SO, I WILL travel this weekend with my family in the Porsche (20mpg )
I just need to sort out, how to get some money without any cards ??????
...less than 300 miles on her..........

At least they did it without doing harm to Clare or Holly though
Best lose a car than a set of teeth...
How well do you know your bank manager? If you can prove ID they'll just give you a stack of cash to take to the 'ring...
Have a good trip

If you did have some pimped up pile of poo, like say, an STI8 with phat exhaust and loud dumpvalve, they would've thought that davy was one of the local bruvvas - or perhaps just realised that like most of "those" owners, he would be skint 'cos the car was financed to the max and all his money was spend on going to meets to compare shiny exhausts.
Or something

Sorry to hear this Dave. Be very careful if you are going to take the Porker. According to some knowledgeable chaps on your other thread, our RWD machines are absolute death traps
I guess the only positive aspect is that at least the Clio is replaceable. You would be hard pushed to find a comparable 944 as mine is not currently for sale!
All the best
Steve

Gutted, only one word, gutted..........
OK, so the best thing is they didn't hurt us, the worst thing is that I haven't got a car. But, there is something worse than that!
The dealer who registered the car with the DVLA put Dave's name - spelt wrongly, on the V5 document. The last words I said to the salesman were, "can you make sure the car is registered in my name and not Dave's".... "OK" he said and off we popped. After calling them about their mistake, it was recommended by them that I send it back without filling anything in and they will change it. That was 4 weeks ago. Have heard nothing, not a sausage...
Rang the DVLA this morning and they say they have never received it. Bummer! Without this, I cannot settle the claim with my insurance co. They say I can get a new registration document with Dave's name (spelt wrongly) on it, but I have to pay £19 with a debit fecking card!! Great. And, how long do you think it takes to get a replacement? 4-6 weeks! So we're going to be paying for a car we don't have for another 2 payments because of a ****-up by the delaer who sold it to us.
Another funny thing was that I went into the bank today and asked if I could cash a cheque. They said yes, we need 2 forms of ID. Went through the bit about being burgled and that's why I was there and the dizzy bitch asked me if I had my bank card as a form of ID! I'm thinking, hmmm.... wait a minute, I have my debit card and that's why I'm wasting my time in here talking to you, you thick cow!

Thats a real shame, lovely cars the Cup, but I think there are still a few about that are actually still new, so hopefully you can get another one, or will you look at 182's?
I had a Cup up till a couple months ago, and rate them very highly, id have been gutted to lose mine to some thieving scum.
Sounds like the biggest pain is dealing with the lost cards etc, dont the bank have a standard procedure for this so you can access your money? must deal with a lot of stolen cards, you'd imagine they'd have a clue about what to do to help you out.
Just make sure everything the scum nicked has been cancelled, good luck getting it all sorted, and enjoy the ring, only prob for RWD cars is if its wet!! (althou saying that its a prob for FWD cars too, put the Teg I had off the track twice when I went).

*******s! Hope you get the insurance and that sorted without too much further trouble......least you have your holiday and family to look forward to
I know its not much help now but after having my wallet stolen a couple of years ago and being in the same "hard to get at money" situation i got another credit card with just a low limit that would last me a couple of weeks or so that i leave hidden somewhere in the house.....

If the law was stricter, a lot of this could be avoided, but if you had defended your property the law would have worked against you, we're supposed to lie down and let the dole sucking scum that we support take the nice things we have the audacity to buy with whats left over!!

Someone sticks a gun gets stuck in your face to steal your car keys, gets caught, gets a year or whatever. You defend your property by doing the same, you probably get 2.
Answer must surely be this - shoot them in the face, chop them up and feed them to pigs - no evidence, no crime
Sell the Porsche and get a Scoob?
Get another Cup if you can -nothing to touch them at that money really is there? In black though, match the rest of the fleet.
