motorpoint WRX £16,599......then save the pennies and let it run in and then PPP it! You have a new car with 260odd bhp for 18K, what other practical car can you buy new for that money with that power?

Er you can't PPP Motorpoint cars because there imports, only way to increase the BHP is third party tuners and then you invalidate your warranty.
Motorpoint cars (Imprezas) also don't come with a alarm or trakker (£550.00 fitted) or locking wheel nuts.
Just something to think about before you buy.

You sure about that. I imported my own a few years back and was offered the PPP at my local Subaru dealers. Is there something different about Motorpoint cars (maybe not Euro imports??)

Do they also do the Seat Leons?
Another worthy contender
OR...........
A turbo diesel (one from the VW range so golf/seat/skoda) and chip that good on fuel, should be cheap(ish) insurance and ok its a diesel but it will give most hot hatches a shock

Get a 2nd hand Civic Type R, can get one on a 02/03 plate for somewhere in the 12K mark then use some of the spare cash to insure it and if got a bit left stick a nice zorst on it.
Great cars I got one use to own a scoob but needed a cheaper car to run hence the civic.

The ask for the chassis number to verify the car is of UK origin. Now maybe you can get PPP on euro cars but in my experiance you can't.
Also the only reason to get the car prodrived is to retain the warranty.
A euro import car with a uk PPP fitted may still invalidate the warranty.
Most of the Motorpoint Impreza's originate from either Malta or Cyprus. Now that they are in the EU you will get the Subaru warranty if the car is bought new after May.
In my own experiance I would get a ex demo from a uk dealer which works out about the same price and you've got some one to come back to if you have any probs.
Also come to sell the eu import and you loose big style, (again from my own experiance).

Another worth considering from the VAG group if you are mindful of insurance group due to age....
SEAT IBIZA CUPRA 1.9TDI PD 160Bhp, 330Nm, 0-60 in 7.6s, max speed 136mph,
...a simple remap I would imagine would take the car towards 200Bhp, possibly more, CTR frightening territory and something a bit more unusual!
