Default Got battered by 280 bhp Sunny GTiR

Yes I am gutted but expected it mine is only a standard 215 bhp impreza could someone tell me roughtly how much it would cost to get mine close to 260-280 bhp and what would be involved.

Was thinking full stainless steel decat exhaust, panel filter, and ecu would that do it?

Also would I need to uprate any other bits i.e. brakes clutch?

Many thanks

Matt

Out for revenge at some point lol.

them mods should do it, if its remapped properlly

you will be pushing the td04 turbo near its limit tho

clutch should be fine if its not allready fooked
brakes are always good to upgrade but you might have the 4 pots fitted anyway? (depends on the year)

i got batterd buy a pulsar as well once, but its rumoured to be 400bhp

<flame suit>

I'd guess that a 280bhp Pulsar would batter a 280 bhp Scooby also.

That'd be my guess also.

Higher power to weight ratio and similar traction/grip abilities.

My moneys on the rollerskate!

They also have an older 4X4(the gti-r) system with a higher loss of power to the wheels.

Despite an ageing AWD system, the GTiR gets off the line better than most cars in it's class. If it's 280bhp it'll be capable of 0-60 in 4.whatever seconds easy. That power would also be capable of high 12 sec quarters at 105mph+.
Most honest GTiR owners will concede that the Impreza/Evo handle and stop better though.

A standard classic could be out-braked by a corsa. Sunny's must have Really bad brakes

They do-they fade after a couple of 100-30 stops and really don't inspire you to brake deep into a bend.Just look how many have upgraded next time you're at the pod/car show.
