Sold an Escort the other day, made a few quid, lady got a nice car (it being an Escort notwithstanding), I had it around for about a month, in which time it started on the button every time, got left for 2 weeks whilst we were on hols and came back to it started 1st turn, no messing.
Now the lady has had it since Thursday and now it wont start, apprently it will go with a push, is it me or does it sound like the problem may not be the car, is there are specific starting procedure for the car, 1995 Escort 1.3 Poverty Plus with the old for OHV engine.
Am going to go round later and have a look but its p1ssing down now which doesnt help.

Dont mean to sound heartless...but you sold the car.
Its her car, so her problem. You may have fixed this for her now, which could set a precendent in her mind. What happens if the clutch packs up in a few months time? she may well expect you to fix that too.
Got to be carefull in these situations. I know its nice to be nice, and I would feel bad myself about selling a faulty car, but once its gone, have nothing more to do with it.
