I saw that, amazing isn't it. Who needs a Cerbera/GT3 etc when you can spend 8 grand and be equally as quick......

I've got some figures for the Saab 9-5 Aero but I'm not sure how accurate they are.
Saab 9-5 Aero 2003 250bhp 1630kg 155.84bhp per ton 6.87s (0-60) 17.06s (0-100) 10.19s (60-100)

I know it's not all about how quickly a car goes but those are attractive stats for a car with that type of build quality.

M5 is imo the best all round car ever produced. However, I can afford the car but the best quote for insurance I've had so far has been over £2600 !!!!
I'd love on....I really would. 2 or 3 years it should be viable.

M3 Evo £7500-£15200 (1995-1999) 0-60 in 5.5 | 155mph | 25mpg
Merc C43 AMG £13750-£17000 (1997-2001) 0-60 in 5.9 | 155mph | 21mpg
Accord Type R £4800-£16500 (1999-2003) 0-60 in 6.1 | 142mph | 25mpg
S4 £10995-£21000 (1998-2001) 0-60 in 5.6 | 155mph | 22mpg
All are insurance group 20 apart from Accord which is 18, all similar parts & servicing costs, check VANOS unit on M3 (expensive), and C43 AMG front brake pads & disks cost about £1000 to replace! All have decent equiptment/spec apart from Accord which has less (to save weight no doubt) but leather Recaro bucket seats are apparently very good (an option btw).
all info from buyers guide in a previous issue of Used Car Buyer (from earlier this year so prices may be slightly less than above)

What about the Audi S6. It has the same engine as the S8, and also the RS6 minus the 2 turbo's. If I recall 0-60 in about 5.5 secs, and it has the advantage of having 4wd. I think the M3 is the looker of the 2. But just thought you should go for something a little more stealth.
