Poorly sick 306 - please help
Hi Guys,
Im hoping you lot can shed some light on this problem. Basically I have an N reg 306 Petrol XSi and it has developed an annoying fault. Basically it seriously lacks power and in the morning to keep it from stalling I have to put my foot on the clutch and accelerater (ie put a lot of power down) to stop it from stalling and start going a bit. It literally "chugs" along and it can be driveable after a bit, but when you try to use the 2 -3,500 RPM power band in most gears, all the power just goes, goes so bad I darent try and overtake a slow car on a long open straight.
Any ideas?

My 306 was the same, although I sold the car before actually fixing it!!

Any pics of under the bonnet?
I assume its similar to the 205, so the ICV will be on top of the manifold. If so, its a metal cylinder which has connections to the manifold and oil filler IIRC.
Its held onto the manifold by a rubber holder thing.
