Default Ship to America

Anyone know how much it would be to ship a car to America. MR2 if youre interested. I take it there is s**tloads of paperwork to do too. From the UK

If the car is not US-spec (i.e. not Federalized), then u can basically forget about it. A RHD car can only be imported into the US for 1 year for 'exhibition purposes'.

Nonsense. RHD or LHD makes no difference. You will need to federalized it if you want to use it on the road (you don't need to move the steering wheel ) and you'll probably find that's not worth the expense.

Make me an offer on my MR2 that's already 50 state legal

for comparison my dad shipped a cayenne from east coast of US to Spain for about $1500. Will be a bit less for UK to US I would imagine. Phone up someone like Maersk and they will give you a quote
