Default BMW M3 1993/1994 Coupe - How much - URGENT!

Hi,

I've seen a BMW M3 2.8 285BHP with 120,000k on the clock. It is an L reg (which I think is 1993/1994). Has anyone got any idea how much this should be worth. Person is asking £5000....need help quick if possible....its in good nick

Cheers

Chump,

It'll be a 3 litre, not 2.8! £5k sounds a little steep. May be closer to £4.5k. Should have full history, with a mixture of BMW and Specialist. If something isn't right, walk away. There are plenty out there. Get it properly checked out, and then have fun!

IIRC the 60 sprint takes 6 secs, and they are good for 155mph...... With some people saying they've seen 160+ on theirs.

Cheers,

Bought one of these a few months ago. Great cars to use everyday. Performance to 60 is about the same as a uk scooby after that m3 is quicker.
Power is very linear and responsive with a small step at about 4.5k revs where all hell breaks loose.
Scooby is more fun in the twisties as its much lighter and the steering is quicker.

Just make sure its been properly serviced and running smoothly and doesnt misfire when warm. Check the cat as these are around £1000 to replace and check suspension bushes.

Price seems good if eveything is ok.

very good price
Lucky to get a (decent) 328 sport for that much.......

Check history and it is actually a genuine M3 (ie, its not a 328 sport with full M tech gubbins.)
