Ramm the keys in as sometimes the lug's stop short of the release clips,If that fails put your fingers in the cassette hole(is it a cassette?) and pull, usually works

The keys should locate with a click when in properly (releases spring catches on stereo). If they're inserted properly you shouldn't be able to remove them without the unit coming out..!

i had a 306 and its a funny shape to the dash, there is a little slim hole at the bottom right you need to put thin screwdriver in and pull hard it will come out with alot of effort!!!!
but when you put your new player in its deeper in the dash than the factory one but it looks ok i spose!!!

if you haven't done it yet, push the clips in on as far of an angle to the outside of the stereo (in to the middle out of it) they should locate and click in to some grooves, then bend apart (so it pushes the clips into the stereo) and pull back. these sre quite easy, the old 106 stereo's were a real pain, and usually needed taking to the dealer to be removed.

If it is the funny shaped one, there are 2 clips underneath the radio, you need to release both of these and then the stereo will come out

Its quite easy as said above, but if you really are struggling, most Pug dealers will remove it for you FOC if you pop down there
