Apart from being a different, newer car, you mean?
2.0l engine v 1.8l, slightly bigger and heavier and looks completely different to the previous one.
Performance wise it's supposed to go similarly to the current CTR but with a bit more focus. It's also got an LSD and Brembos. EVO mag. did a feature on CTR v ITR (old and new). Was a while ago though - Nov. 2001.

The original ITR (DC2) is supposed to be the more focused and better handling of the two although I'm sure there's not much in it as far as most drivers go. I love my DC2, but am thinking of moving to a DC5 as I would appreciate just a little more comfort without losing too much of the handling.

I currently own a DC5 and would say that DC2 is a bit sharper, more aggresive but the DC5 is a much easier car to use every day

I've had one for around 3 weeks and I love it, it is a little less raw than the DC2 (which I have previously owned) but there is not much in it, the steering feels better than the DC2, the body also feels a lot stiffer and the suspension is harder.
I've got a pic but don't know how to upload.

The DC2 was the better handler.

The low down torque (thanks to the IVTEC) is excellent, the DC2 was either on or off. No such issues with the DC5, it just pulls well in any gear out of VTEC.
I'm not knocking the DC2 it was an excellent car, I just think the DC5 has moved on and too me it has not lost any of the magic. I'll post some more pics for anyone who still thinks the DC2 looks better.

Very nice Cyberevo.
Are you a member of itr-dc5.com forum at all?
Both DC5 and DC2 are very good cars. Very capable track cars and can easily see off UK Turbos (stock wise).
In regards to imi's comment, I guess thats your opinion on its design however technology wise the DC5 is ahead of the DC2.

I dont like the look of the DC5...its like watching a widescreen movie in 4:3
Each to their own.

Here are a couple of pics of my DC5
Great car. It is every bit as quick as my JDM WRX MY96. There is not as much mid range 'grunt', but once you get into VTEC it is very quick. It is better as a track car as it carries more speed through corners and the brakes are in a different class.
It is practical day to day car. There is plenty of luggage space. It is quiet at motorway speeds and it does 35 mpg at motorway speeds.
