That FP menu looks scarey to me - my Boxster S 'fixed price service for 24k mile - £580 (OPC) - add in the 4 new tyres it need at its annual service - cost >£1k.
F355 are lovely - they just cost the earth to maintain and don't be fooled by fixed price servicing - add 25-50% on top.....

Massive mainteance bills - HUGE.
Beautiful cars though, 328's are are often overlooked but as the ultimate incarnation of the 308 range - they are fantastic....if you get a good one.A bad one will see you out of £10k in repairs and maintenance in a year or too very easily.....

Looking at the cost of an uprated ECU makes the PPP for the Scooby seem cheap!

As for buying one for a 328 i would have a look through Classic & Sportscar's back issues for a buyers guide, they are very thorough and informative.
anyway have a look at

With the budget you have I'd go for a mint late plate 328 for about 30k and keep the rest in reserve for a big bill. Even if you spend to the limit of your budget on a 355 you're unlikely to get anything better than a ragged LHD one. No ferrari is going to be cheap to run, but the 328 is cheaper than the 355. A friend of mine owned a 355 for 2-3 years and total cost in depreciation and maintenance was almost 30k, with one of the services alone costing around 6k! And even though they're desirable cars it's not a given that you'll find it easier to sell unless you're prepared to be crucified by the dealers when the time comes to move on.

pm me for info if you need it mate, will be getting a 328GTS next spring/summer, had a good look into them all, 328 may be a bit dated and some 348's are cheaper, but 328 is a good sensible 1st F-car, engine doesn't need to come out for a cambelt either! as cw42 says, check http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ first, but do a search on it first, same q is always popping up.
