Daewoo Kalos good or bad?
Dad's looking for a cheap run about.....
He's been a nissan man for over 15 years swears by them!
But recently saw that Car supermarkets are doing really good deals on the Daewoo Kalos, they seem to be a lot of car for the money!
Anybody know anything about them good or bad?
Cheers,
Plums.

Don't do it under any circumstances!!!!!!!!
All Daewoos are about to be re-badged and sold as Chevrolets as of 1st Feb. Therefore anything with a Daewoo badge will depreciate faster than a bullet fired towards the ground.
Plus I know for a fact they are being sold new for £3000 by GM get rid of the old Daewoo stock before they can start selling the Chevy stock.........

Cheers Reffro!
That would explain why you can buy them new at under 5k at motorpoint when the same kalos is 7.6k at Daewoo!
Still could be worth it?

I suppose if you just want a 5hitter to run into the ground they would make a very good buy fella.
if it cost 3k who care's what it's worth in 3 years time anyway.
If I needed a cheap run around i'd have one.

Just read Deawoo's home page....
They have info on the Daewoo- Chevy change over...
They are offering 6 months with the daewoo then swopping it to a totally new Chevy of the same model and restarting all the 36 month warranty.
That's a new car for 6 months for free all you pay is petrol and insurance!
Not sure if the Car supermarket does that though?
