I aint gonna rush out and buy one or anything but I have seen a couple floating round and about and with the right alloys on it, looks a real nice car.

The VXR was nice at autosport too

I'd probably say both are un-cool but both are also good motors.

VX220 isn't cool, probably the least cool of them all.

Didnt use the word cool bell end ........ I just said I liked it, which I do. It looks like a nice neat car. As does the new focus and the C4 or whatever its called.

The vectra on the other hand is a rep's car and not something I would give a second glance too.

Now what am I gonna spend that £20 on when it comes my way crimbo time???

I like the new Citroen that's on the advert where it's a transformer robot effort. Looks well smart though is probably a tizzy sounding hair-dryer with a comedy interior.

Cool. Vauxhall's are not cool. Full stop. So, when an uncool manufacturer makes a sports car it's never going to be cool.

VX220 is quicker, handles better, looks "ok" and so on....but is it cool?? No.

Like the Octavia RS - Excellent car, quick, good quality etc etc but not cool.


The reason the Vectra/Astra/Corsa/Zafira/Signum/Omega are less uncool than the VX is cos people don't buy them in an attempt to look cool - unlike "some" VX owners, shades on, cruising around thinking they ARE cool.

It's almost like a Chav thing:

"How can I be a chav, this holiday cost me £75943556"

"How can I not be cool - this VX220 is well cool"

Ther car shown above is going to be selling at 20K + nice as it is, an Astra for 20K, no thanks. The 2.0 Turbo model with out all the fuss is 18K, WTF and it looks dull.
