Default Who cleans engines in Beds?

I didn't mean the title to sound so odd.

Does anyone know or can recommend an engine cleaner in the Bedfordshire area or surrounding counties?

Preferably one that will come out to the house?

(Not for my car).

Cover the electrics in some plastic bags, get a tin or two of gunk, an old paint brush and/or tooth brush to work it in the more ingrained areas, and then hose/spray the degreaser off

Wax polish what you can of the inner wings/bonnet shuts, then spay some WD40 around afterwards, for protection and to give a "glossy" look to metal/plastic parts

If you take the right amount of care and time, It’ll come out better than any professional job

IMHO

Do a search on here for Halford's CD2 engine cleaner (costs about a tenner). I did my scoob's engine with it and all I had to do was to cover up the air intake, intercooler and alternator then follow the instructions on the box. Came up beautiful and looking like new. After that it was just a question of spending a bit of time on the details.

Do car engine cleaners actually exist? As a business?

An engine cleaning service might be offered as part of a larger valetting service. I remember reading on here that Mark Underwood (Wax Wizard) and Gossy The Valetter would do this. I found the CD2 procedure a doddle to follow after reading up a little bit on here and simply following the instructions on the box. Big Goon generously sent me some from the UK before I started making frequent sleazy-jet flights back to blighty for shopping trips.
