Default I don't own a scooby, so what do i drive?

I own a R reg Vauxhall Astra 1.6 8v

I have had the car for almost one year. as i sadly wrote of my first car...92 K Subaru Justy 1.2 GLII 5Dr in maroon. I loved that car, so nimble. I hit a kerb stone in the snow we had last January. and it was not worth the repair bill to repair it. soi we scraped it. I was with out a car for 2 weeks then i found this in a local garage.

Its in great nick.
here it is...

since these photos, i have had a Cat back Sebring exhaust fitted, sounds ok, but no subaru burble

So when insurance companies will allow me on a 2 litre scooby one that is turbocharged ill get one...about 2 year time with a sensible insurance quote.

i can't wait.

I guess ill just have to put up with sitting in the passanger seat of my dads 03 WRX...

Darren

Don't worry, we've all done our time in slower cars. In fact, most of my cars have been horrible ****boxes that make your Astra seem like a Pagani Zonda. Patience is a virtue

I bought one of those K reg as well. It's not what you'd call quick, and the engine's a bit rough, but it gets me to work and back. It's actually my third car, coming after an old Range Rover, and an impreza GL which I should have kept in the first place...

Nice Astra though. Looks good

I certainly have - the impressive list includes:

Yugo 45 - felt decidedly dangerous above 65mph
1978 Polo L - 895cc providing a whopping 45bhp
Citroen C15 van - at least this had room for 8 mates in the back
2 Ford Fiestas - both 1.3s which could nearly hit a ton.

Finally I got my Scoob, and it was worth the wait!

Scoo8y Mad that looks OK you have to start from somewhere. Keep it looking original-ish don't go down the tacky route of fitting lexus lights and 20" jap style tailpipes etc etc it will just make it look OTT and rather silly

It looks in great nick and we all started somewhere!

I'm not taking the **** just giving the poor lad a reality check of posting cars like that on these forums. It might be his pride of joy but 'looks good' and 'nice motor' etc just make me want to

Plus how the **** can a Subaru Justy 1.2 have a Subaru Burble and be nimble?

Reality Check needed methinks

Justy with burble ROFL That'd be cool, proper scoob engine in one would be fun. Most likely lethal i suspect!

Ain't a bloody competition....

Some people are just interested in what other people drive. Seems you're not one of them eh.

Can't believe the trolls on this thread! From seeing SC008Y_MAD's posts on this BBS, he may be young, he may be a bit skint, but he seems like a proper Subaru enthusiast to me. When he responds to other people's posts he compliments them on their cars, is never negative, and spreads a much-needed bit of niceness and goodwill about the place. Look no further than yourselves for espousing the chavvy, yobbish attitude that everyone seems to think is pervading scooby ownership.
