A lad at work says his mates just bought one of these, I am fairly certain that the 354 BHP V6 engine has been put in the C class coupe, obviously you can get it in a Saloon and Estate and I have seen details of it but I have never seen one over here and MB dont list it on the website ?

I am fairly certain that this model did exist, after all its a C class and they do the Sallons and Estates. I also have a game called 'Mercedes Benz world racing' which has the same model in, I know that doesnt guarantee anything but all the rest of the models in it exist. I am fairly certain his however is a C320 Coupe Evo, this lad has an Audi S3 and he wasnt sure whether the Merc was any quicker, I am fairly certain that the AMG C32 in any guise would be/feel substantially quicker than a standard S3.

BP, Did you check the link, it does sort of exist as an AMG back of the catalogue conversion where you need to buy a c180 and have it gutted, I think the chances of him having one of those babies are extremely slim to nil.
I drove a modded S3, probably still the quickest thing I have driven, C32 must be amazing, had one go past me once on full afterburners, quite a racket but it looked like it had been thrown down the road, my father in law is getting rid of a diesel C class, couldnt even think about affording that never mind a C32, never mind, if when you come to change yours and its dropped into the Sub 4 grand bracket I would be interested, dont think I can wait thirty years though.

Don't know about 22b but used to have a P1 with circa 320bhp, I'd say the P1 was quicker to 70ish then I'd say the C32 would edge away, the thing is, the C32 engine is extremely strong due to all the internals being strengthened by AMG so they could go on being driven however you chose to for 2-300k with no real issues, P1 felt quicker obviously. C32 is marginally quicker than an e46 M3 but there is not much in it, yes they are all automatics, the problem is getting it off the line smoothly without the traction control light going bezerk while in 'sport' mode, it is doable with practice in the dry, in anything less than dry, you're better off not bothering as 350bhp through the rears (esp in the old and standard 245's, I have changed to 255's) will always be a chalenge without smoking the rears.

I found my CLK430 (auto) used to get off the line just as good as most scoobs when dry. The auto gives you a great advantage - just sit there, wait for lights to go green, slam the accellerator down ![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

He still maintains thats what his mate has, apparently it is a conversion/special order, he only paid 20 ish grand for it, lot of cash but a C180 Coupe on which the conversion is performed is over 20 grand and the conversion is about 75,000 euros according to the link so a total price of what 60 grand, sounds like a bargain !
I suspect its a C320 with a few AMG bits on it.

Agree,no such thing, unless its some one off made for an Arab prince. Or does he mean a CLK 55 AMG,but they cost a lot more than £20k.
I had a modded STi Type R running circa 310 and a STi7 running about 330. They probably both had the edge over my C32 up to about 60,but then the C32 is faster. Kickdown at 60 mph and 120 comes up very rapidly. Obviously does'nt handle anywhere as well as a Scoob, but then thats not the point
