I still don't understand why people try and compare the scooby to the M3? 2 differant types of car???

Standard M3 Vs Modded Impreza

My Modded M3 might be more of a test for you?

Another post did quote 450 BHP for his M3 though.

Still, 450 BHP and 400 lbft in a 1290kg Subaru like mine would smoke the M3

My Volvo does 0-120mph (194 km/h) in around 20 secs which is a few seconds behind an m3 i think and that is circa 300hp ?

16.8 for 0-200km/h the E46 M3 SMG II according to one source. Think you'd need to add some (probably 1-2s) for the other 6km/h, and then some again if that is off the speedo Andy?

Subaru vs. M3 thread - how original.

One costs £20k
One costs £40k

I know which one I'd have and it ain't the rice-box.

If you don't like it common sense would indicate that you shouldn't read it and certainly shouldn't reply to it. Moaning won't make it disappear... just look at pslewis! (You prat )

The Casio! Wouldn't worry about damaging it, cheap to replace, cash to spend on other things. Bit like running a Subaru Look like a chav, but feel happy

In true Scoobynet style I'm going to have to argue my corner to the bitter end even when I'm probably wrong!
How do you know Alan's car only cost £10k inc mods and a 03 M3 can be bought for £30k.

Deep, I get 22mpg average in mixed use, which I think is OK for 450 BHP/400 lbft? My insurance is under £700 pa all mods declared. Pretty cheap all round for the performance. Any suggestions on doing it cheaper?

Well then Deep, maybe your'e afraid of the RICE BOX'S? I am sure you will say your'e not, but i myself with my V7 STI WAGON have yet too meet any M3 in any guise that in any situation live, with my LITTLE RICE BOX. I think you may well be more into the LOOK AT ME syndrome. Which is what most M3 owners seem to be. I have had 2 e30 2.3 m3's, 1 e36 3.0 and 1 e36 3.2, and while my mates stuck with their newer flasher e36's. I went back too the e30 the pureist m3 of all not for looks but for real driver appeal and the only car that comes in the same everyday feel and grin factor is the SCOOBY. You may like sitting outside the local disco, arm out the window factor, but i prefer and i'm sure the odd's are stacked with me. The look of absolute horror when their xe lease m3 is being tortured by the little RICE BOX. That by the way has a cult following the m3 could only DREAM of. Rant over.......
