Not had an S2000 thread for a while :-)
Need some inspiration
I chop and change a fair bit, and always end up back with the scoob again. I think this summer is S2000 time, as ive always wanted one and prices are quite reasonable for a good one (£15k) The thing is fast too, I didn't convincingly punish one last time I had a play, and it was pretty damn good in the wet despite the rumours. The interior is amazing in red too.
Thing is I love the STi5 I have, but I guess I can just get another one come winter. Or try an EVO6. If I do that I will be on scoob number 6!
Anyone else tempted?

Ah myself and sidhead appears from s2ki.com
Had mine for a year and a half now, selling mid summer to fund a house But love it, just bought a nice sounding exhaust too So much cheaper to run than the Scoob, Ive in 18k miles Ive bought 2 new rears at 400 quid and had one service for 100ish,plus a bit of oil. Fuel economy is much better, and inthe summer with the roof down you cant beat it
http://www.e4lution.com - lots of pics etc on my site. They are bargains right now, expect prices to be higher in the summer when people really want them, they arent shifting right now unless real cheap. Cracking build quality as well, I cant fault it really. The myths of tricky handling are true to an extent, but quite frankly youll have to drive it like an idiot to get in trouble. Its a rear wheel drive car, treat it as such and youll have no issues.

The GT would be nice for the really horrible parts of winter and it looks pretty cool. Also, you can get the GT very often for similar money to the equivellent non-GT. This give you the option to punt the hardtop on ebay then sell the car as just a rag top.

Or buy a normal one and get a hard top from Ebay
Have you sat in one Kenny? Im 5"11 and a mere 11 stone and found the seats snug. If I was bigger id find them tight. IIRC you're a few inches taller than that?!
My only other worry is im not much of a top down poser, and quite like driving a tough ugly car. The roof bit for me would be most enjoyed when no one is looking
Going to ask a mate nicely if I can spend a good hour driving his before I decide...

Now I had an Elise for a bit and yeah you want a hard top for those if it's a daily driver in the winter.
But in all honesty the S2K really doesn't need a hardtop for the winter, the roof is plenty snug enough as is, and personally I've lost count of the times I've been topless this winter (most days this week, **** the snow) that would have been impossible with the hard top. Don't forget the electric roof is so quick even if you get caught out it's not an issue.
It's an awesome car, if you want a fast reliable good handling convertible nothing else touches it sat the price

Ive just bought a Hayward and Scott exhaust for mine, sounds ace and I got it for 300 quid second hand(will sell it for that later too exhaust fetch good money on the s2ki forum)
Stuff the GT, I never wanted the hardtop, nor have found a need.........imagine your out in it, then the sun comes out.........your stuffed.
Boxster S, nice car, I did consider one and now they are better money than when I bought my S, they are very common though, servicing is more too. I looked recently, 24k would by you a nice Boxster S, 30k miles perhaps?? however similar S2000 would be 6 grand cheaper or more............
