Orange MKII Escort
After seeing this gorgeous bad-boy (the car that is !!! )......
.........it has inspired me to get a Mk2 escort. Does anyone know who owns it here as I have a couple of questions that I would like to ask.

Try this one, plenty of people with cars like that on there.
Mind you that one will be very expensive to get like that for varrious reasons!

Blackscooby, that first pic, is it on the road from the Ribblehead viaduct to Hawes? I'm sooo sad!
Oh yeah, on topic, Taf, if you can't tell the difference between a mkI and mkII Escort you should go and hang your head in shame, it's one of the first things they tell you in Petrol Head School!
As for costs, in simple terms, as much as you've got and then some!

Mk1's & 2's any day over any Ferrari. You had to be there. <wanders off into dreams of being 19 and owning an RS2000...>
Currently seeking a nice MK2 RS2000, if anyone knows of one?

Yep that Mk1 mex looks awesome, yes always check out ebay if you want a mex or rs2000 but there seems to be a lot of dross on there while good examples will be £4,5K+
I saw the title 'Orange MK2 escort' and thought hey that was my first car! Although it was humble 1300 sport and not an RS!

That Mk1 has a full works arch set and front panel..looks beautiful...Look between 5 and 10k to own something like this..And of course,we dont know what engines under there..Standard 1600 ohv with 32/36 weber and 4 branch manifold in Mexico.Puttin in the 2000 OHC with 40 dcoe sidedraughts was usually the order of the day..150bhp with a tweak or 2..Cozzie power in many now tho..BHP??skies the limit!!

There's one or two competing in Irish rallies with RX7 motors installed, IIRC.
Nice :-) if a little sacrilegious

That sort of thing's been going on for a long time Them rotarys sound like nothing else you've ever heard when they're being wrung out to @10,000rpm with no silencing they used to have the added advantage of being classified in the 1000-1300cc category too Which was nice, especially when your car's packing more horsepower than most of the 13-1600cc category

Strange I was always led to believe that it was TWICE as much as you've got, and then some

Ferrari 360, nice but a little out of my league and everybody thinks you are a tosser anyway, something like the Escort could only be owned nowadays by a true enthusiast.
Ditto the MK1 Golf as per Crispduk.
