pajero 4x4 ???????????????????????
my father in law is looking for one of these at the mo,
he has about 4-5k to spend on one, so it would be a k-p reg one probably
which it the better engine 2.5 or the 2.8 tdi's
and has anyone got any tips as to what to look out for on one of these jobbies,
he's after a manual which is a bit more hard to come by,
cheers

Tdi is best, well more power /torque . I too have been looking at manuals but my local importer tells me to buy an auto, seemingly manuals gearing is all to **** ....revving its knackers off at motorway speeds and are generally a weak link.Surprised to learn the manual box is completely different to man. box in a Shogun which doesn't appear to have a problem.
Just what he's told me !! might be bollox. (he did have a manual Pajero for sale at the time so he wasn't trying to push me specifically towards an auto)

Try the Pajero Owners Club site:

They are very helpful and knowledgeable.
I've just sold my Pajero but they are great cars.
