Megane 225 brand new for 16K?
Would anyone consider the Megane 225 which can be bought at a 3.5k discount? You can get them new for £16,074.00. Has anyone had or got one and are they worth the money?

I looked at one at Motorhouse2000 for £14??? but it was an import. Nation wide cars do them cheaper than the price you have got though. I bought my car from nation wide cars. UK car from UK dealer - spot on service. Speak to Luke.
Good luck

The biggest problem was the drive itself - steering has no feel except when the torque steer kicked in - which was often. I kept my Cupra R until the year end, then spent the money much more wisely - on an M5....

you can't turn the traction control off! I think they've recently done a "trophy" version that is supposed to handle better and rumour has it that it will become the standard suspension or at least a cup pack going forward. I would ensure that you get that at the very least as they're supposed to be crap as standard.
In general : They're cheap cus they're crap from what I can tell. I've only seen 2 on the road ever and they've been out for ages now.... gotta tell you something.

I guess there quicker than the standard wrx? Maybe not from a standing start though.
Factoring the price seems a good deal (15k) compared to 20k for a wrx?

I think that anyone, apart from proffesional drivers! would stuggle to keep these two cars apart anywhere!! As far as "dicking" is concerned!! I don't think so.

A quarter mile predictor is not the best way of comparing 2 cars. The megane has a turbo for a start and 100 lb/ft more than the Civic. If you look at a power graph as well, the megane has a flat torque line from just under 2000 rpm all the way to red line very similar to the new Golf.

HOWEVER - I haven't driven one, or know anyone who has one, so i am using the technical fact to come to a conclusion. So i may be incorrect in my assumptions.....

I have actually raced one of these in my standard (apart from exhaust) ctr, and there was no "dicking on" to be had there.
A standing start was to be had from the lights on a lovely stretch of the A12, the cars where neck and neck simple. there was a *** paper in it, and yes the car in front was a civic.
This may also be down to the fact that i am a top driver. LOL,

The reason there selling them cheap ia that they aren't selling them. I mean just look at it. In the few years they have been out I've only ever seen 1 of them on the road. When I had a 172 the dealer tried to get me to upgrade to the Megane.... errr no thanks mate. Bought a Focus RS instead
