The Alpine A610 was the turbo beastie, the specialists I take my 172 to have got one coming in.
Saw it the other day, dark metallic red I think (couldn't get a great view of it from where I was but could tell from the shape what it was), nice and quick
Guy who owns the garage said the owner used to work for him but has just lost his current job so is having to sell it, mint apparently. He says they are pretty quick, and he drives a Clio V6 with nitrous so they can't hang about!
A610 turbo made from 91 to 95. 250bhp and 350nm or torque. 0-62 in 5.7 iirc.
On in the garage was this kind of colour
