Default 997 'S' cabrio, mine, all mine muahahaha!

I sold my C4S in February for various reasons, cheif amongst them that my legs didn't really fit Decided I didn't need a fancy car and would stick witht he Audi and 22B, right up till a month later when the 987 'S' was launched , so I bought that. 3 months later and I had an expensive accident in the Porsche dealership, walked in, slipped on a newly polished floor and my Connect card got jammed in the chip'n'pin machine. Shortly after this was sitting at home

I've only put on a few miles, so tyres are still slippy and engine needs running in, but damn it's a fine car

Cudda been me Ian, I had to drive it down to Tonbridge to have my accident, scoobs still kick *** My driveway pretty darn perfect now. I have to admit that I was down Merdien Modena looking at 360's before this, but to be honest this is a car I can drive everyday, rain or shine. Service every 2 years. Just couldn't cope with a tempermental garage queen that the rari would inevitably have been. Since having the Boxster I've come to love the old roofless fun, and 22b is great as a coupe so 911 coupe just not justified. Getting old now so needed my poseur mobile anywho!

I agree 100% that they look better as a tintop, and I felt a little dirty buying a cabrio when all 911's should be aircooled coupes..but it's a storming drive and the old wind in your hair motoring does offer something special. When I was at the dealers signing the papers I couldn't help but look longingly at the Basalt black Carrera 'S' coupe they had on the lot...but the 22B covers all my tin top needs and seats 5, this is more a selfish indulgence since the whole family doesn't fit...so I'll suit myself LOL

The 997 is a cracking car. Followed a lovely titanium coloured 997 4S in to work today and just sat on its tail, drooling.

I wonder if the Porkie dealer will give me a good trade-in price for my Honda Accord I'm cruising about in at the moment ? It has 4 wheel steer afterall!

Nice car mate. I'm not jelous at all, well not much !!!

Have wanted a Porsche for ages, but the one I want, the C4S is still too pricey for me. Hopefully in a few years though.

stilover I sold a 2002 996 C4S to the trade for £44k in Feb this year, they are coming down in price, or do you mean the beautiful 993 C4S, now thats a gorgeous car and a future classic but prices probably leveling out on those babies.
Brendan, 'pooters don't get me going so I have a freeserve dialup and an ancient laptop at home...no way to get the piccies on to a machine at work so I'm stuck The satnav pcm thing in the porker scares me

Steve, I can't make the lodge, it's too far away for a girly like me...it's in chelmsford or summat isn't it? Thursdays I am usually at the gym vainly trying to keep myself in my waist a 34, constant battle once you reach 30 years old dude, you'll find out in 2010 LOL

Arr bugger, the lodge is actually pretty close to the A127, it's only about 10 minutes away from the Dick Turpin.

Will catch up another time hopefully

Steve the neighbor is an M3 nut, sometime you're in the area we'll get you to drop in because he'd love to see/hear the CSL (well, me too to to be honest )

Have to disagree, that is stunning mate - one of my favourite dream cars. Ive got a 3 series cab (E46) and have said Id like one of those to replace the BM when I get rid of it.
