Just replaced the pads and disks but cant get the warning light to go out, the sensor was fine, even disconnected the battery. Is this a BMW special tool jobby to reset.

Thanks chaps in advance

Question

Jason, turn the ignition on and leave it for atleast 1 minute should go out if everything is ok.
But how come the sensor is ok if the pad light was on ?, also check the rears they tend to wear out roughly at the same time on e46's

Hope this helps Deano.

its not the tyre pressure sensor is it ?

the dealers normally replace these each time the wheel comes off - or so I'm told my a BMW mechanic. They left the same one on mine, put the wheel back on and the sensor light stayed on.

Hi mate

Frustrating isn't it?

Try Deano's fix although it didn't work for me on my E39. The light went out of its own volition on the A303 after about 150 miles

Cheers

You need to replace the pad sensor when changing the pads
