Default What soft top??

As above really, my good lady (ie she who needs to be obeyed) has set her sights on a soft top, the question is which one.

She really really likes the m3 convertible, although money isn't limitless 20-30,000 is probably the budget.

any ideas?

I haven't a clue really piccies would also be good to be able to show her some ideas.

oh and deffo don't put any namby pamby hairdresser mgf type stuff up.

If it's going to blow my mullet about it better be in style.

How about a saab viggen convertible? I like the m3 too but just a suggestion for something a bit different.

Mercedes CLK. Nice

Also another one for the BMW or saab, and the audi. All nice but not hairdressers cars.

What's she after? Roadster (S2000, Z4, Boxster) or Convertible (Bmw 3 series, Saab, volvo etc.).

Fast racerish (S2000), laid back (Saab), finely balanced (boxster) etc. etc. etc.???

2nd hand boxter s, s2000 GT or 350Z for my my money, maybe a TVR might be a bit too hardcore for her - can recomend a TVR Tamora - an early one will cost you 25k and a nice newer one 30k.

Just waiting for my wife's Saab Aero Convertible to arrive at the end of this month, black with matching leather and hood.

They are supposed to be quite quick.

Can't fault my Jaguar XKR Convertible. Looks the mutts nutts, goes stonkingly well with 400bhp and 410lb-s torque, not too bad on the juice 20mpg average and 20 inch wheels set it off

If you're after something you will enjoy too, (for the days when you're bored of the Ruf) you really should have a look at an MX-5 Although there is a new one coming out at the end of the year.

A 2004 + S2000. I had a 52 reg S2000 in silverstone with the red leather before my new age STI UK and miss it that much I went out and bought one this evening ( 2005 ) The 2004+ spec ones are more comfy and forgiving than the previous model. The engine on them is just awesome for an N/A.

XKR might be a stretch at that budget but an XK wouldn't be. Still brisk with 300 odd horses from the 4 litre v8 (or later 4.2). Still very pretty too imo.
