This was one quick car in it's previous spec (unless you were the passenger about to be t-boned by a Clio at Dono ) ....... when you get it on track mate, you will have to take me back out in it again.

Gotta agree, All of us that had hot Escorts really miss a 'proper' car.
Back then even the magazines had articles on modifying your distributor or testing this make of camshaft.

I had the same Mk2 shell for Six years. It evolved from a 1.1 to a 2.2 5 link, everything fitted and rebuilt myslelf, bar its final engine.

Bit differrent to 1100 Saxo's of today with stick on bodykits.
