A mate of mine as just traded his 04 WRX in for a brand new MR FQ320.
Want to know why? ............because the Subaru paint scratched too easily when he washed it! and his dealer was not prepared to checkout the paint quality on his car.
His dealer said "You get the paint checked out by a 3rd party, and if there's a problem we'll refund the money, and sort your car out". Excellent Subaru customer service again and I just hope the Mitsi paintwork is better.
Anyway.... I'd have an FQ330 tomorrow if I could afford to run it.
J.
PS. You don't have to tell me the Subaru paintwork is soft.... I've owned a DBM MY99, which was like putty

Horses for courses. They're both superb The Evo is probably a little more hardcore, but compromised by fuel economy, servicing costs and reliability. The Scoob may be a little softer around the edges, but is more useable and has an exhaust note to die for
Oh, and this guy drives an Evo

Strange to start this thread so early in your scoobnet life? EVO owner perhaps?
Gary
Oh and as far as im concerned they are about the same as scoobs but with maybe slightly better turn in and a little more power.

Jesus not ANOTHER Subaru versus Evo thread.
Well put it this way the fastest standard Evo MR340 V the standard fastest Subaru STI Type UK which one do you think would win.
After all you buy these cars for there performance right.

Sorry the MR400 was a limited run of 100, like the WR1 @ 500 anyway the 340 is faster in most cases than the 400 anyway.
I don't think I've heard of any MR400 owner that actually liked the car especially at £47K

i agree re servicing
the difference isnt worth bothering about
if you are that hard up buy a diesel
evos handel abit better or should i say give the driver more confidence
the evos 4-6 have a stronger box than any similar age scooby for those that want to track their cars
scoobys are good
evos abit better
GTR's are also worth a look
