Been out in another 430 Ferrari
Got taken out for a blast in a 430 manual by a chap who can drive!
It really is such a great car the handling is limpet like. We covered around 10 miles or so around Borough on the Hill in Leicestershire.
The noise is something else. It revved and pulled hard to 8500rpm!
It had only covered 1K miles.
8500rpm with V8!
It was docile - around the 30mph villages and loads of torque to boot. It pulled clean in fifth from 30 mph straight up the rev range.
He had it set in the setting before RACE not sure what that was, you can alter this with a turny **** on the steering wheel.
The interor is well made and robust, loved the Ferrari maglite clipped into the glovebox.
I recon this is a Ferrari you could use everyday.
Only downside is that on of the washer jet covers (retractable washers) had come off which was poor.
I do love the looks power and pretty much everything about the 430 and i want one!
Today was a good day!

430 is indeed a very special car.
Although, I now believe Ferrari's are not drivers cars, mere ornaments to polish and look at.
Every time I go out for a spirited drive I wonder what it's just cost me.
But they say the 430 is the first useable Ferrari with modern levels of QA, although I'm still going to find it hard to believe.
High production figures should do lots for reliability - but who am I kidding - a 430 is one of the modern greats and I'd love to have one, even if it's just an ornament
Missed out on a test drive recently after the Ferrari dealer made me an insulting bid, greedy fellas they really are.

The chap was saying paralell parking was a bitch. As for leaving it anywhere he said that it draws a crowd wherever he leaves it.
I suppose like most nice cars you have to be careful where you leave it.....

A friend of mine has been lucky enough to just take delivery of an F430. Red....of course.
Must drop by for a cup of tea and if he says do you want to go out for a blast I suppose it would be rude to say no
