Mondeo Mainbeam Q
Had a look at the g/fs car and spotted the RH main beam wasn't working. So off I toddle to halfords to get a new bulb (got 2 x superwhite).
Opened up the bonnet (mkIII 01) and though WTF!!! I'll never get my hands in there to change the lamp.
Anyway, against all my years of conditioning I read the hand book and found ouy you actually have to remove the grill and whole head lamp unit. System worked quite well with two clips on either side.
Any hoo took out the old lamp, looked ok, popped in the new ultrabright shuved the whole lot back in and BINGO ..... mainbeam still didn't feckin work. Used the grey matter for a bit and checked the fuses (16 & 18 IIRC) which were both ok
Loom looks ok.
Any idea where I should look next?
TIA

Second the relay. Usually there will be one relay for each side, swap them to see if the failed light moves to the other side too.
Next thing I'd check would be the switch but the relay is much more likely culprit.
