Default Mitsubishi L200 Twincab Animal - Where from?

Hi,

I need to find the best price on a Mitsi L200 Animal. Anybody got any recommendations for dealers/websites?

Not necessarily new but not more than a couple of years old.

Thanks.

My only recommendation is not to buy one
I worked at a Honda/Mitsubishi garage for 6 months before I came to my new garage(Hyundai/Subaru) and they are not very good-they have the looks but not the reliability. If you buy new then you always have the benifit of warranty but the servicing bills can be horrendous. I did like working on the EVO's,GTO's and Honda S2000's.

I'm with Madvern, bought one for one of my managers last year, drinks fuel horrifically on the motorway (sub 20 for a diesel) Slower than most vans I have driven, handles like a lump of strawbery jam (especially in the wet) Looks good though. Very noisy too.
Servicing was expensive and very regular for cars these days, probably as they are quite agricultural.

We sold it within 3 months

A nice ornament, but I wouldnt want to go anywhere in it.

And they dont look right without the shaven headed bloke at the wheel and a Jetski being towed behind, I kind of like the things but wouldnt want anything that heavy and slow unless I really needed it.

Anyone else noticed how they get driven quite aggresively ?

funnily enough i had a course today and the consultant had one. i asked him what it was like and he said ok but he wouldn't buy another as it was too unreliable. reckoned that l200's are prone to gearbox problems.

Do you know how old the engine design is?

A friend has just bought one and he thinks it looks cool but is totally agricultural mechanically.

Had a test drive last week in the new 174 bhp Navara and was well impressed.
I'm probably gonna get a king cab s.e. spec if i buy new, but am still toying with the idea of getting one of the later 2nd hand ones and having it chipped to about 160 bhp (i believe!).
