New Mitsubishi Evo MR FQ69
http://www.pistonheads.com/news/defa...?storyId=11735
First it was the FQ400 and now they've improved the engine by throwing it away and replacing it with duracel lithium ions which give a mighty 69bhp.
Who wants one?

What a silly idea, I mean an evo is meant to be a performance car, so why try and turn it into an eco-friendly car?, thats for cars like toyota prius! It really would be a case of All show, no go!
Maybe if subaru made an electric impreza, they could do a 'PPB' Upgrade, Prodrive Perfomance Battery Adding all of 1Hp!

I think you forgot about something... there are 4 engines, one on each wheel - so its 69bhp x 4 and then youve got 276bhp which isnt that bad. And dont forget that you have less power losses because of the missing drivetrain and gearbox, well, actually you have almost no losses... and you may use the separate engines for braking and i bet you will get much better stopping power then with ordinary brake pads... and look at that torque!!!! you will never see a similar figures in STi/EVO unless heavily modded. I think this car is a very good idea, it needs a bit more tweaking but after two years, if I can buy EVO XX with 300bhp, giant torque and running costs lower then Astra 1.4, hell, i just started to save money for that

147 TS doubt you'll see a Evo XX being built seeing as i think they're stopping production of the evo sometime like 2008 i think, also 120kg more than the standard car! power to weight ratio isn't really all tha impressive considering, anyways it'll be interesting if they finalise and implement a proper working production model.
Gross vehicle weight kg (lbs) 1885
2005 KG for a 276bhp car? tiny bit less than 138bhp/per tonne, not really that impressive

and last thing to mention - FQ69 has 20" rims!!!! ordinary EVO8 FQ280 has 17"... those huge and wide rims arent there for pimping, i guess this car puts down huge amounts of torque on road and the only way to tame it was to use extreme wheels...
