Cool bah!

A friend of mine has just called me up and the following conversation ensued.
"Hey mate, I've just bought a new car! Its an E36 BMW 325i, with a race tuned M3 lump in it. With a standard filter and exhaust its been dyno'd at 380bhp at the wheels! I've just done 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and I didnt need to change out of first either!"
B'stard!
Not all bad though, providing he dont kill himself first, its going to be mine in Febuary
Anyone want to buy my 86? its fully caged and just had a TRD 2-way fitted, first person to offer me 3500 gets it

Expect to be told it's all bull****, as I was despite having documentation from BMW (which was apparently faked by the main BMW dealer)!

Depends on if I listen to people from here (who are obviously all fountains of knowledge with regards to BMW M cars), or the chap from BMW Frankfurt that I got in touch with

I know its the lowest form of wit, but nevermind eh?

I am, believe it or not, still awaiting meeting the guy to take some pics, but for the last 2 months it has been awaiting the panels being restored after a REALLY bad hailstorm which dented all the flat panels on the car! It is now (as I understand it) being sorted, so should hopefully get some pics (also, with rain etc possibly on the way, then he will more than likely use this to travel to work in than the 'blade, so should be ample oppurtunity!

Did he mention it was a 3.2 (I realise that the M3 lump is, but in the process of being race tuned it could have been bored out etc)!

You're quite right, in that it could have been bored out, but you don't see many N/A 6 cylinder 4 litre lumps for a very good reason!

I just have never ever seen a race spec BMW engine make anywhere near those figures, but once a dyno sheet is posted, I'll happily be sceptical of that as well
