Maserati Ghibili Cup
Has anybody any experience of one of these ?
I have found various web sites with mainly good reviews on both performance and reliability !!!
Stats seem very good but probably not as good as a currentSTI or EVO. It is a bit different and fast enough for me.
Thanks

Don't do it ......... christ knows which reviews have said its reliable - the new generation Mazzers are pretty awful let alone the old generation.
Add to that pretty average handling (I'm being generous) and outrageous maintenance costs and you'll be crying all the way to the bank....
So thats a NO

I had a look in to these than ran away very quickly when I saw the running costs and parts prices.
I still have a buyers guide from an old EVO if you want but make sure you have BIG pockets to pay for the bills.

I think it's one of those classic "25 made in RHD, and now only 50 of them remain..." thing. The IHI turbos on the Cup cost a fortune, but you could get a LHD GT (305 bhp, 2.0) which is totally different to the cooking UK car (285 bhp, 2.8). Contact Bill McGrath Maserati for an honest assessment of running costs at http://www.maserati.demon.co.uk/
I used to see one every day on my daily commute, so they can't be that unreliable. It's one of the cars I'd really like to own one day. Looks anonymous to all but those in the know -- just another European 2-door. But has that wedge-shaped sense of purpose, a fantastic interior and loads of grunt.

Its an Italian M3, a great car loaded with character but you really do have to have deep pockets to run one. Not saying they are unreliable, just if something does go wrong it'll cost you!
