Default Porsche Cayenne

Hi all, my best mates dad has just bought one, we took it out at the weekend, what a beast... theres 2 of us in our 20's driving this silver beast about LOL. Was really impressed though, such a smooth ride (well sort of it was rolling on 22" LOL) , nice power to it and ofcourse that porsche growl!! even though it was the base model 3.6 i think it had all the toys and comfort.

How do they perform? 0-60 top end mpg etc..

I think its a 3.2 litre. The one from VW albeit slightly tuned to about 250bhp. Will hit 60 in between 9-10 secs so no flying machine although thats not bad for a big 4x4. If i was going for a Cayenne I would have at least got one of the V8's. Money is obviously an issue though but the Cayenne isnt the best looking car in the world so the bigger more powerful V8's would have at least shifted to make up for their looks. Still a nice car however there are faster and more economical diesel 4x4's / SUV's out there which makes the 3.2 v6 petrol a bit redundant IMO.

I'm no fan either. Drive one regularly (a V8 'S) and the more I drive it, the more I dislike it.

The performance novelty wears off in around ten minutes. After that, you have to contend with a stiff ride, a rattly cabin, seats that are as flat and hard as park benches, ridiculous size, twitchy steering, poor build quality, lazy tiptronic, stupid gadgets etc. There are more.

Add in ridiculous costs (13MPG, tyres shot at 12000 miles, first service a couple of beers short of £600-for an oil change!!) and it gets worse.

Plus there's the pure embarrasment of driving it. It was built for footballers and people who live in Wilmslow, neither of which I want to be associated with

If it had a VW badge, no-one would have bought it. Oh hang on, didn't that happen??

Well the truth needs to be told, it's for their own good, they are under the misguided impression that a couple of 20 somethings driving a Cayenne look cool

OMG.... didnt realise that they were hated so much!!!.... firstly i didnt drive it as it wasnt mine and was worth 50k!!..... Well when we were out in it at the weekend everybody turned and looked, deffinatley a head turner with its 22'' or 24'' alloys (cant remember!!) certainly wouldnt buy one too much decent metal out there for that silly price.

Well not much else to say really, apart from its just a 'posers' car i guess. I'll get me coat!! lol

He must have ticked every box on the options list at 50k. A base cayenne starts at 32k.

Try a Turbo one. These lap the Nurburgring faster than an M3, great fun. The look on sportscar drivers faces when you waft past is priceless.
